Register your Wiener Dog To Race! 

Rules and Regulations: 

• Current rabies vaccination record must be presented at time of check-in.

• Two race handlers are required for each racer. At least one handler must be an adult over the age of 18.

• When not racing, your dog(s) must be kept on a leash that is 6 feet or shorter.

• We strongly recommend ID tags for all pets.

• You are responsible for cleaning up after your dogs.

• If your dog is in heat, please leave them at home for this event.

• f your dog reacts aggressively toward any other animal or human, it must be removed from the premises immediately for the safety of all concerned. No exceptions. You must also immediately notify Saline Main Street Staff/Volunteers who are onsite and follow instructions as listed in the Waiver below.

• No food, including human food, pet food, or treats are allowed on the racetrack area.

• You may bring your dog’s favorite toy to use during the race to encourage your racers.

Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race Participation Waiver: 

I am aware that during the course of my visit to the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race certain inherent risks are involved because I am attending with my dog. In consideration for being allowed to attend the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race with my dog I agree to assume FULL AND TOTAL liability for any and all damages including, but not limited to , injury to a person, property, or other pet that are alleged to have been caused in total, or in part, by the direct or indirect activities of my pet, me, and/or other persons attending the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race with my dog. I agree to hold harmless and indemnify from any cause of action, that directly or indirectly involves my dog, Saline Main Street and the City of Saline, and all corporate officers, agents, volunteers, employees, guests, and other individuals acting in an official or advisory capacity. I agree to pay for the costs of attorney fees and court costs incurred by the above-mentioned parties to defend any actions, in addition to any other costs and damages that may be assessed. I hereby certify to the following facts:

1. I am the owner of the dog attending the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race;

2. I will be in control of my dog at all times while at the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race;

3. My dog has not been deemed a dangerous or potentially dangerous animal at any time in the past;

4. My dog has never caused a problem in a crowded public environment such as the Saline Main Street Oktoberfest/Weiner Dog Race;

5. My dog is current on RABIES, BORDATELLA, LEPTOSPIROSIS and DISTEMPER.

If my dog should bite a person, bite another pet, cause property damage, and/or be directly or indirectly involved in any incident I agree to the following:

A. Report the incident immediately to an onsite Saline Main Street Volunteer or County Sheriff; and,

B. Keep my dog available until I have received instructions from the Saline Main Street staff and/or local authorities regarding the required procedures.
