    Join the Beautification Team

    Work to beautify downtown Saline. Through seasonal plantings, banners, public art, and upkeep of shared spaces, this team helps create a welcoming environment for all, residents and visitors alike. Currently this team manages our Veteran Banner Project and Be Bloomin'. Potential future projects could include:

    • Organizing an annual or bi-annual downtown clean-up
    • Managing a student banner program, putting student art on downtown banners
    • Organizing architectural or historical scavenger Hunts
    • Implementing public art and murals in downtown spaces

    Join the Fundraising Team

    Help sustain Saline Main Street’s work by organizing campaigns, securing sponsorships, and planning fundraising events to engage community support. Saline Main Street is funded almost entirely by corporate sponsorships, along side of our annual Oktoberfest fundraiser. We also host a few smaller fundraising events, such as our Annual Golf Outing. If you have an interest in: 

    • Helping to create community partnerships
    • Writing thank-you notes and maintaining donor records
    • Assisting with sponsorship outreach and follow-up
    • Helping organize fundraising dinners, raffles, or donation drives
    • Creating a donor/sponsor recognition wall.
    • Helping promote our individual monthly sponsorships

    Join the Business Support Team

    Help strengthen relationships with downtown businesses by providing direct ourtreach, sharing information, and offering practical assistance and training that helps local shops and services thrive. In 2024, we worked with MEDC and Downtown Professionals Network to create information and resources for entreprenuers looking to build a business in downtown Saline. Help us expand on that by: 

    • Help with sustainability efforts like bulk purchasing paper supplies, to-go containers, etc. 
    • Create more training opportunities for businesses
    • Recruit new businesses
    • Help create window signs for vacancies
    • Research and keep track of potential small business loans
    • Improve our map of the "small business journey" to help navigate opening a new business in Saline

    Join the Marketing Team

    The Marketing Team promotes the mission of Saline Main Street by sharing stories, creating promotional materials, and helping spread the word about events, programs, and the people of downtown Saline. Created to work in conjunction with each of our event teams, our marketing team will no only promote our events, but the whole of downtown Saline as well as the impact of Saline Main Street. Work with us to: 

    • Distribute posters and flyers around town
    • Compile a list of community calendars to share our events with
    • Help tell the stories of musicians, artists, and performers behind our events
    • Ensure our marketing is cohesive and that we stay on brand
    • Help promote vacant properties

    Join the Volunteer Management & Recruitment Team

    The Volunteer Management Team ensures that every volunteer feels welcomed, supported, and equipped to make a difference. This team helps with communication, organization, and appreciation efforts across the program. Volunteering with Saline Main Street is a meaningful way to connect with others, make a positive impact, and be part of something that strengthens our entire community. Help us: 

    • Recruit new volunteers
    • Help develop an onboarding plan
    • Take ownership in managing volunteers at/for events
    • Tailor volunteer outreach to align with millennial interests by researching current trends, and highlighting those opportuntities to build long-lasting commitments to our community
    • Create a partnership with the schools to increase volunteer opportunities for students, and possibly set up some youth programs
